Summer is all about refreshing drinks, lip-smacking salads, and scrumptious food platters. There are times when we uncontrollably consume highly spiced or peppery foods during summers that lead to rising internal heat in our body, hot flushes or acidity problems. Other symptoms people also experience are heart burns, skin eruptions, and general irritability. To steer clear of these symptoms, there are some pacifying drinks that can keep heat at bay and your body cool as a cucumber.


Here is a simple homemade recipe of a colorful, fresh, fruity Strawberry Mojito that is perfect for summers:

REFRESHING DRINK TO KEEP HEAT AT BAY DURING SUMMERS

STRAWBERRY MOJITO

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 lb sliced strawberries
  • 20-30 mint leaves
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 2 drops of Herbostra Digestive Bitters

Instructions

  • To make the syrup, mix the sugar and water in a saucepan, and cook over medium high heat for 5-10 minutes until the sugar is dissolved and the liquid becomes clear.
  • In a large jar or a pitcher, combine the lime juice, simple syrup, strawberries, mint, Herbostra Non-alcoholic Bitter and water. Let it cool in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Add crushed ice as a topping if needed. Serve and let your body feel the coolness of the drink!
